Healthy looking and youthful skin is the most important beauty asset for many. The skin should be cared for every day to keep it smooth and clear. Visible skin pores should not be covered with a thick layer of makeup, but skin pores  can be reduced with proper cleansing using toner or other skin-tightening ingredients.

Beautiful and well-groomed skin looks youthful and supple. Large skin pores make the skin look uneven, and most of us want to get rid of visible skin pores. Skin pores can be removed with a variety of make-up creams and lotions, but the most effective way to fade them is to treat your skin holistically. Well-moisturized and well-groomed skin is smooth and pores are less visible. There are many easy home remedies for reducing skin pores in both external and internal ways.

There is no miracle cure to reduce skin pores, but with a few smaller changes, you can already go a long way.

Causes of visible skin pores

Visible skin pores are easy to prevent with a proper and regular skin care routine. Skin damaged by the sun is more sensitive to visible pores, as the sun’s UV rays reduce the skin’s elasticity and collagen (which acts as a natural skin cleanser). Loosening of the skin tissues therefore leads to visible pores.

Another factor that predisposes to visible pores is skin type. Normal to dry skin is less prone to the development of visible and open pores. Oily skin, in turn, quickly develops open pores.

Age also affects how visible the pores on the face are. Over time, the skin loses its elasticity, which is perfectly normal, but eventually leads to dilation of the skin pores. The natural regeneration of the skin slows down and the skin becomes loose and sensitive.

Skin cleansing

Each of us has skin pores and cannot get rid of them. Skin pores are part of the normal structure of the skin and this should be accepted. No one’s skin is completely smooth – we are humans, not porcelain dolls! If visible skin pores interfere, there are a few ways to fade them. In particular, try these ways:

Drink enough water

Drink at least 2 liters of water a day, especially if you sweat a lot or temperatures rise to high readings. In addition to water, you can enjoy tea and juice drinks, but don’t add all the liquids together. Drink at least two gallons of water, everything else is extra. The body needs adequate hydration to cleanse, visceral function and nourish the skin. Well-hydrated skin is smoother and skin pores are less visible.

Enjoy vitamin C.

Vitamin C is a natural antioxidant, the intake of which brings many beneficial effects to the body. Vitamin C is especially useful for the skin. The easiest way to increase the amount of vitamin C in your diet is to eat citrus fruits such as orange, grapefruit, lime, lemon and mandarin.

Almond

Try this healing almond mask that closes the skin pores in that moment. Applying almond flour to the face narrows the pores of the skin and the skin becomes smooth and even. If you can’t find ready-made almond flour in your local store, you can easily make the flour yourself.

Ingredients

  • About 30 grams of almonds with peel
  • Water

Instructions

  • Pour the almonds into a blender and mix into flour.
  • Pour the flour into a bowl and gradually add the water, stirring until the almond and water mix into a paste.
  • Rub the paste on your face, especially on areas with visible pores (forehead, cheeks, nose, chin) and allow to soak for 30 minutes.
  • Rinse with warm water.

Repeat the treatment twice a week for best results.

Remove makeup from your face every night

Always remember to remove makeup from your face before going to bed. Makeup dries the skin and its harsh chemicals can even cause skin irritation if left on the face until morning. Clean your face as soon as you arrive home from work or a party. For make-up removal, you can use natural ingredients that are gentle but thoroughly cleanse the skin at the same time.

If you run out of make-up remover, peek into the cupboard, and remove makeup with olive oil, for example – this will do the trick for even water-resistant eye makeup. Finally, rinse your face with cold water and apply moisturizer to your face.

Wash your face twice a day : morning and evening. Try the following recipe for cleansing your face in the morning and finishing your evening washing routine after makeup removal.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon oatmeal
  • ½ tablespoons of unflavoured yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Manufacture and use

  • Add the ingredients to the bowl and mix until smooth.
  • Use a cotton swab to apply the mixture and go through your face and neck.
  • Rinse with cold water.

Peel your face regularly

shrink pores with exfoliation

Facial exfoliation is important because exfoliation effectively removes dead skin cells and dirt. Exfoliation makes the skin smooth and clear and allows the skin to breathe. In the midst of a rush, you may not have time to prepare all the treatments specified in this article, but set aside time for at least regular weekly facial exfoliation. Exfoliation helps to close skin pores and keep skin smooth.

Ingredients

  • Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Manufacture and use

  • Mix all the ingredients well. Let the sugar and honey dissolve in the lemon juice.
  • Grab a few drops on your fingertips and rub into the skin gently. Go through the face and neck in a rotating motion.
  • Rinse with cold water. Do not use on broken skin as lemon may cause stinging.

Wear sunscreen

Never expose your skin to the sun’s UV radiation for long periods of time. Always wear sunscreen (at least 40 SPF), even on cloudy days and in the winter sun, and protect your face and neck as often as possible with sunscreen or other clothing. Avoid direct sunlight at noon, as this is when the sun’s radiation is at its strongest. The sun damages the skin and causes premature aging, skin loosening and wrinkles, not to mention skin cancer.

Embrace a new skin care routine

It is important to create a good skin care routine that involves cleaning your face twice a day, removing makeup, exfoliating and proper moisturizing. Your diet should be okay and you should drink enough water every day.

Pamper your face with a deep moisturizing treatment on the weekends and favor natural ingredients in skin care;  by reducing the chemical load you take care of your skin. If you feel you don’t have time for proper skin care, at least stick to cleansing your face at the end of the day, using sunscreen, and drinking enough water.
