You probably already know that carrots are rich in vitamins A and E. These nutrients are essential for human hair growth as well as hair thickness.

Now, here are some great recipes that contain carrot oil, the biggest benefits of which are just vitamins A and E. In masks, they come into direct contact with the scalp.

You get the following benefits:

  • hair growth stimulation
  • increased hair softness and shine
  • increased blood flow to the scalp
  • strengthening of hair roots
  • combating pollution and solar damage

To obtain these effects, it is advisable to repeat the chosen treatment once a week.

Where can I buy carrot oil?

Carrot oil is no ordinary product in grocery stores. So chances are you haven’t seen it on offer anywhere.

The best option are well-stocked pharmacies as well as shops specializing in natural products.

1. Carrot-avocado mask for hair

Carrot oil and avocado as a hair growth stimulant

Avocado fruit flesh is full of vitamins, minerals and fats that nourish the scalp from within the body.

We recommend this mask especially if your hair is very dry and breaks easily, and if you suffer from dandruff. Do not use it if your scalp becomes oily quickly.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 of the ripe avocado
  • 10 drops of carrot oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Manufacturing

  • Crush the avocado into a paste.
  • Add carrot oil and honey.
  • Put the mixture on your head and rub well to allow the nutrients to be absorbed.
  • Leave on for half an hour and then rinse off with cold water.

This mask allows for better hair growth, so the benefit is, among other things, that the smoothing cut no longer feels as annoying.

2. Carrot and banana oil

If you find an overripe banana in your kitchen, there is use for it in this mask. You may have heard that bananas have great benefits in hair care,  so you should definitely make use of this familiar fruit from cooking as well.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe or overripe banana
  • 1 teaspoon carrot oil

Manufacturing

  • Crush the banana and add the carrot oil.
  • Mix well and put the mixture on clean, dry hair.
  • Rub and leave on for 25 minutes.
  • Rinse off with cold water.

We recommend ripe bananas for this because it contains more nutrients than raw ones.  In addition, when it comes to paste formation, ripe bananas are easier to shape as desired.

3. Pre-shampoo treatment of carrots to promote hair growth

raw carrots

Do you want an easy and excellent pre-treatment before washing your hair? Try this mask, which only takes a few minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon carrot oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 vitamin E capsule

Manufacturing

  • Combine the two oils and add the contents of the vitamin E capsule.
  • Rub your hands together to warm the mixture.
  • Put it all over your hair and let it work for half an hour.
  • Rinse off with cold water.

An alternative to this mask is to mix these oils with shampoo, but in this case double or triple the amount of ingredients (depending on the amount of shampoo, of course).

4. Mask for oily hair

hair and comb

The previous masks are great for promoting the growth of dry hair, but those with oily scalp can also suffer from excessive hair loss.

If your hair gets greasy easily, the next mask is a good choice because the egg white it contains absorbs too much fat.  The yolk, on the other hand, keeps the hair moisturized and soft.

Ingredients

  • 1 raw egg
  • 1 teaspoon carrot oil

Manufacturing

  • Mix the ingredients in a bowl.
  • Put the mixture all over your hair with a comb.
  • Be especially careful with the scalp.
  • Leave on for 25 minutes and then rinse off with warm water.

If your hair is very easily greasy, you should check the shampoo ingredients as well as the ingredients in other hair care products.  It is common for waxes, gels and creams, for example, to contain oils.

Avoid oil-rich products – the carrot oil in this mask already gives you all the hydration you need.

5. Relaxing and cleansing lemon mask

Does your hair break a lot due to staining? First of all, you should stop coloring your hair with industrial products.

Chemicals contained in commercial dyes and bleaches (such as peroxide) weaken the scalp and hair roots.

You should look for natural products to modify your hair color. If you want to lighten your hair, try the following mask that promotes growth.

Ingredients

  • 10 lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon carrot oil
  • 100 ml of chamomile tea

Manufacturing

  • Mix the ingredients and place the mixture in a spray bottle.
  • Every day before washing your hair, do this: shake the bottle and spray the mixture on your hair.
  • Leave the liquid on for 15 minutes, and then wash your hair as usual.

If, on the other hand, you want to darken the color of your hair, replace lemon juice with a tablespoon of activated carbon, and chamomile with black tea.

Try these masks to accelerate hair growth!
