Clean Your Face With Homemade Methods

Clean your face with homemade methods

Is your reliable makeup remover surprisingly running out? Or maybe you want to try more natural methods of cleansing your face? You don’t necessarily have to head to the store shelves for a new cleaning product, as your face will be cleansed without harmful chemicals with simple wardrobe ingredients. Cleanse your face and gently remove makeup with these tips!

Makeup Remover A and O

Everyone uses makeup differently; some like a light make-up while others feel comfortable in full play. The amount of makeup also affects its removal.

If you use a lot of mascara and trimmings, you should focus on cleaning your eyes thoroughly. Mascara and Trimming Colors are often water-resistant and, due to their strong pigment, remain stubborn, especially at the base of the lashes.

If, on the other hand, you red your lips with a strong color, remember to remove it carefully at the end of the day. It is advisable to use cotton swabs to remove eye make-up, as they can be used to gently clean stale make-up from small areas.

Elsewhere, cleansing facial skin is simpler. Rinse with warm water, use a soap designed for washing the face and continue the cleansing with other methods, because with soap alone you will not get the skin completely clean. Soap is not suitable for all skin types, so try different methods and monitor your skin reactions – whether it tightens, redness, grease – and deduce what works best for your skin.

Facial cleansing doesn’t take much time when it can be handled neatly, and the end result is your skin is more pliable, cleaner and brighter.

Face mask

Never go to bed with makeup on your face, as makeup clogs skin pores and doesn’t let your skin breathe – you may wake up the very next morning with pimples on your face. Unwashed makeup greases the skin, may worsen acne and develop pimples and blackheads.  No matter how tired you are at the end of any long day or scramble, it is absolutely important to wash your face before going to bed.

If you wear contact lenses, remove them before cleaning your face, as makeup removers can irritate your eyes, making contact lenses awkward and can even damage the lenses. Especially with oily makeup removers, contact lenses should not be used.

Cleanse your face with natural, homemade methods

  • Natural yogurt. Apply a layer of unflavoured, flowing yogurt on your face and let it soak for ten minutes. Remove by wiping with a damp cotton swab or facial tissue.
  • Warm milk.  Heat a few tablespoons of milk and let it soak into the cotton swab. Go through your face with a cotton pad, patting gently and pressing the particle harder on those areas where there is more makeup, such as in the eye area. Finally, rinse your face thoroughly with water.

Moisturizing and face washing

  • Olive oil. A real savior for dry skin. Olive oil is incredibly effective even for strong makeup remover. Apply a few drops of olive oil on the face and rub it on the skin gently. Wipe off the oil with a warm damp towel or facial tissue. If your face feels greasy after removing the oil, rinse still with facial cleansing soap and warm water. Olive oil is a really good help, especially for removing eye makeup, as it removes even waterproof makeup without irritating the delicate skin around the eyes.
  • Almond oil. Best for oily skin. Although almond oil is, as the name implies, made from oils, it does not make the skin oily but actually does the opposite. Use it in the same way as olive oil.
  • Chamomile and olive oil. Make chamomile tea and let it cool. Absorb the liquid in a cotton swab and add a few drops of oil. Gently clean your face. This method is especially suitable for the skin of the eyes, as chamomile reduces swelling and reduces eye bags.
