8 Good Tips For Managing Fluffy Hair

8 good tips for managing fluffy hair

Fluffy hair can be caused by several different reasons.  Fluffiness may be due to the hair being treated too much chemically, or it may be strained by constant straightening and the use of a hair dryer.

The result is usually the same thing for whatever reason: dry hair that becomes  fluffy , and this curling usually gets worse as the humidity increases. So if your problem is unpleasant hair fluff, keep reading and try a few home treatments to get your fluffy hair under control!

What causes fluffy hair?

Fluffy hair  is primarily associated with dry hair, i.e., hair that does not have enough moisture and natural oils.

The outer layer of the hair then becomes rough, and therefore the hair also becomes more porous. This, in turn, allows the molecules in the water to “stick” to the hair more easily, as well as cause them to swell.

Therefore, people living in humid climates (as well as people prone to hair fluff in summer, regardless of location) find this dilemma a greater challenge.

Despite the fact that fluffy hair is a common everyday nuisance, there are several inexpensive and effective home treatments that you can take to your aid to solve the problem!

Home-made treatments are a great help to get dry hair shiny again and do not contain any chemicals at all. Home treatments are also significantly cheaper than commercial alternatives and can achieve longer lasting results.

Note, however, that sometimes home treatments may take some time compared to the products on the market for you to begin to see their effects on your hair.

A couple of tips for preventing fluffy hair

prevent fluffy hair
  • Always remember to use a ponytail to make hair loops made of fabric instead of rubber bands, as rubber bands can put damaging pressure on your hair. Release your hair once it is dry.
  • When combing your hair, always remember to use only brushes with natural bristles and sparse combs. Namely, plastic brush spikes can make your hair even more fluffy.
  • Always use a fluff-reducing hair mask after washing your hair, but do this before you dry it. While the following advice may seem very obvious, don’t dry your hair too much, as this may make it even more fluffy.
  • After washing your hair, comb it to the left, and wait a few minutes. Then comb them to the right. Finally, brush your hair in the normal way.
  • Use products such as shampoo and conditioner that are specifically designed to treat dry hair.
  • Avoid straighteners and hair dryers, as the high temperature used with these devices can dry out your hair, and as hair dyes do, they make your hair harder.
  • Try not to touch your hair constantly, and comb your hair only when it is wet, even then very gently.
  • Do not use the towel too hard when drying your hair,  as this may damage the surface.
